About the A-B Looper

The A-B Looper repeats a chosen section of a YouTube video over and over. You set a start point (A) and an end point (B), and the player loops everything in between — so instead of dragging the scrubber back every few seconds, you can play the same bar, phrase, or move as many times as you need. YouTube's own loop option repeats the whole video; this loops just the part you care about.

How to use it

  1. Paste a YouTube link and load the video.
  2. Play up to where your section starts and press Set A.
  3. Let it reach the end of the section and press Set B.
  4. Turn the loop on. It will now repeat between A and B until you switch it off.

Who it's for

Musicians loop a single lick to work out fingering or timing. Dancers loop an eight-count to learn choreography move by move. Language learners loop one sentence to shadow a native speaker's pronunciation. The trick is to keep loops short and, while you're learning, slow them down using YouTube's playback-speed control (the gear icon → Playback speed) at 0.5× or 0.75×, then bring the speed back up once it's reliable.

Frequently asked questions

Can I loop just part of a video, not the whole thing?
Yes — that's exactly what this tool does. You set the start and end points and it repeats only that range, unlike YouTube's built-in loop which replays the entire video.
Can I slow the loop down?
Yes. Use the player's playback-speed setting (the gear icon, then Playback speed) and choose 0.5× or 0.75×. The loop still repeats your A-B range, just slower.
Does looping download or alter the video?
No. It only controls playback by telling the embedded player when to jump back to point A. The video streams normally from YouTube.
